My Ram OC wearing Cult Party Kei! CPK is a J-Fashion focused on sheer layers of vintage pieces (nightgowns, long skirts, thin cardigans, etc). I wanted to model my interpretation of the fashion through a magazine-esque spread with my original character. This piece was done on toned gray sketch paper with colored pencils and water-based brush pens.

"Chapel of the Holy Cross"
2022

A study of the Chapel of the Holy Cross located in Sedona, Arizona. I chose this church because of its striking brutalist architecture, and unique location. At a glance, it appears lonely, harsh, and desolate. However, it's a well-loved and well-visited attraction that is much more colorful in person. This piece was done on watercolor paper entirely with black sumi ink.

"Dinner Time"

A study of a desert spread at a traditional Japanese Kissaten (喫茶店; literally a "tea-drinking shop"). Captured in Asakusa, Tokyo, this was the first time my family had ever been to a kissaten. The pastries were great, and the coffee was even better! This piece was done on watercolor paper with watercolors, acrylic paint, and ink.
